Books Delivered Monthly

United Way helps Fairfield County children build early literacy through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, investing an estimated $6,600 per month in books and postage. With support from the State of Ohio and generous local donors, a portion of the delivery cost is covered to ensure children receive free books at home.

1,300 Tax Returns Completed

Our VITA program provided free, accurate tax preparation to over 1,300 individuals and families in Fairfield County.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library: you can never get enough books into the hands of enough children

Donate to help continue building the gift of literacy and imagination in Fairfield County children.

Inspire a love of reading

The United Way of Fairfield County proudly supports Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio (DPIL), a program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until their fifth birthday. In 2024, the Imagination Library distributed over 36 million books nationwide, marking a 24.4% increase from the previous year. Since its inception, the program has gifted over 264 million books, fostering early literacy and a love for reading among young children.
