Committed upholding the highest standards of ethics and conduct and to maintaining the most effective financial control practices available.

Like the other thousands of United Ways in the country, United Way of Fairfield County operates independently of United Way of America. We are an autonomous 501(c)(3) organization that is governed by a local all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Additionally, we manage three volunteer committees (Impact Councils), representing our community who meet year-round, monitoring the organization's investment in programs that help us achieve Bold Goals. All these volunteers and our staff annually commit to follow a code of ethics in the performance of their duties.

The organization is committed to maintaining the most effective financial control practices available to ensure that any type of financial impropriety is prevented or quickly identified and appropriately addressed.

Each year, United Way of Fairfield County is audited by an independent accounting firm and has consistently received an unqualified opinion letter. We post our Form 990 plus audited financial statements, below, for public review. We are very conscious of the fact that you are making a choice to incest your hard-earned dollars in the children we serve. We take seriously our responsibility to steward your investment with great care.
